(But first, a little background...) Mike will be leaving via Amtrak on Wednesday afternoon to spend a few days in Iowa with my dad. On Thursday they'll be going on a group outing, where they'll go on a lunch cruise, to a casino and to a dinner theater. I'll be driving down late Friday after work and we'll drive home together on Sunday. But, from Wednesday to Friday, I'll be on my own. The following conversation took place in the kitchen, while Mike was hugging me.
Cindi: I'm going to miss you while you're gone.
Mike: I'll miss you, too.
*pause*
Mike: I'll miss you while I'm at the casino.
*slight pause*
Mike: What?! I have a wife?! Where did this ring come from?!!
